Natural scent of mead and honey makes getting washed and clean like bathing in mead. Yet, the scent quickly subsides and doesn't remain on your skin. Mjoðrlaug (Viking Mead Soap) is also big, nearly half a pound and 1 9/16” (4cm) thick!

The animal fats, while traditionally being part of ancient soaps, minimizes lather. The mead, and its ferments, nourish your skin. The natural seed oils moisturizes your skin, while the sheep wool oil protects your skin against the elements. The honey provides nourishing, antiseptic, and disinfecting qualities. 

Mjoðrlaug (Viking Mead Soap) is consistent with soaps used during the Viking age: It is cut rough, it is more basic, and it is far less refined than modern soaps. Shape, size, and color may vary. Bar may also more easily break than commercial soaps.
